Class One - July 4, 2012

And this is just the introduction class?

We had so many "wow" moments in class today, I'm not sure where to start. Of course I immediately started searching online for iPad prices because I've decided that I need one. We've had this technology available around us for at least a year now at my current school, but I haven't taken advantage of it, and now I feel a bit foolish for that. All of my Learning Centre students would benefit from the apps we were shown just today, but I think the point is that all students can and will benefit from the new technology that's out there.

I have more to reflect on from this class but here's our assignment for now:

Ten ways (at least) to use PicCollage:

1. Create collages as if they were characters in a story
2. Draw pics and take pics of them
3. Journals
4. Sequencing of a story/someone’s life
5. Take collage into another app that makes puzzles
6. Make a biography of a famous person
7. Social stories
8. Create a comic with a combination of your own drawings and pictures from the web
9. Make a card
10. Lists with pics: To Do, Grocery, etc.
11. All About Me
12. Show and Tell 
13. My favorite (book, author, sport, etc.)
